Prosecutors have now charged an Indianapolis Metro Police officer with perjury.

Andrew Tyler, a five-year veteran on the force, had been accused of sexually assaulting a woman, but he testified that the two did not have sexual intercourse.

A DNA test proved otherwise.

Although the incident was found not to be an assault, his testimony that the two did not have a sex is why he is now facing a perjury charge.

Tyler is on administrative leave and the chief is recommending his termination.
