Indianapolis Metro Police have arrested a Shelby County man in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident on the Indianapolis south side earlier this week.

The owner of a nearby business found the body of 63-year-old Kathleen Clark Monday morning. It's believed she was struck while walking along South Meridian Street near Troy sometime Sunday evening.

Detectives from IMPD's Crash Investigation Section arrested 50-year-old Greg Hudson on a preliminary felony charge of failure to stop after an accident causing death.

Investigators praised people in the community for providing surveillance video and other information that led them to Shelby County, where the suspect and vehicle were found.

Hudson is being held in the Arrestee Processing Center awaiting a final charging decision by the Marion County Prosecutor's Office.  No booking photo is available.
