INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - Indianapolis Metropolitan Police were called to a person shot in the 6200 block of East 44th Place, near 46th Street and Arlington Avenue, just before 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive person suffering from at least one gunshot wound lying in the front yard of a house.

Medics pronounced the unidentified man dead.

The Marion County Coroner's Office will determine cause and manner of death after an autopsy has been preformed.
