Eyewitness News is tracking numerous reports of a stranger approaching men and boys to offer them sex. It's been an ongoing problem in the 3800 block of North Meridian Street recently.

According to several reports, an African-American male in his mid-twenties has approached other males - in one case, during daylight hours - and asked them about their sexual orientation. After asking if they're gay or bisexual, he then offers to perform a sex act on them. There has been no talk of exchanging money for the act.

Detectives with the Indianapolis Metro Police Department are investigating the reports.

The man is described as having short dreadlocks with poor hygiene. He has been seen driving a green GMC Jimmy or Chevy Blazer with dark tinted windows.

One man who was approached during the day looked online at Indiana's sex offender registry and believes he found his suspect.

Another victim who was approached is a 13-year-old boy who lives in the 3700 block of North Meridian.

A number of sex offenders live in the area. A quick search of Indiana's sex offender registry located ten offenders living within a half-mile radius of the 38th-Meridian Street intersection.
