IMPD identifies victim who died in Indianapolis shooting
A woman was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis Monday evening.
Indianapolis Metro Police identified the woman as 21-year-old Myeah Davis. Her family has been notified.
Officers responded to the reported shooting in the 700 block of North Denny Street around 5:50 p.m. and found two victims. A female laying on the ground near a home was pronounced dead at the scene. Medics transported a man found shot inside a home to Wishard Hospital in serious condition.
Police later learned of a third victim that was apparently driven to Community East Hospital with a gunshot wound. That person is listed in good condition.
Detectives have not released suspect information and are continuing their investigation at the scene.
The name of the deceased victim has not yet been released.
