IMPD arrests three in connection with January murder

A month-long investigation into a deadly shooting in Indianapolis led to three arrests.

A 15- and 17-year-old boy are accused in that January 2nd murder of 16-year-old Tyrell Alford, who was gunned down while walking with a friend on Graydon Street. Police found him lying in the middle of the street.

34-year-old Tomecka Carpenter was also arrested last week in connection with the case. She faces charges of assisting a criminal.
