Metro Police and Fishers Police are tracking robbery suspects in two Tuesday morning robberies that may be related.

Fishers PD spokesman Tom Weger said two men robbed the Village Pantry at 97th and Lantern Road shortly before 4:00 a.m. Tuesday.  One showed a gun. They took money and cigarettes and drove away.

Metro Police dispatchers said two men fitting a similar description robbed the Speedway gas station at 61st and Allisonville around 4:20 a.m., showing a weapon.

IMPD pursued the suspects, who drove their car into a garage near 42nd Street and Forest Manor and left on foot.

Fishers Police set up a search perimeter to the west to Eller Road and north to 106th to search for the VP robbery suspects.

IMPD is searching with a K9 around the crash scene.

Metro police describe the Speedway suspects as two black males wearing black shirts and baggy jeans.  One is 5'9" to 5'10" and the other is 6'1" to 6'2" and both are described as thin.

As of noon Tuesday, police still had not located the suspects.
