Emergency crews are investigating a suspicious substance at the Rickers gas station at 2102 Post Road.

Police, fire and Hazmat units are on the scene to rule out possible hazardous materials.

The Indianapolis Fire Department says the substance was contained to an envelope and the area of contamination contained to an individual's car. One person has been transported to Community North to be checked out as a precaution. No serious injuries were reported.

As part of standard operating procedure, IFD Hazmat crews, the IMPD Bomb Squad and Marion County Board of Health are on scene.

A sample of the substance was obtained from the car and sent to the lab for testing.
