IFD investigates car found in water on Indianapolis northeast side
The Indianapolis Fire Department dive team is investigating a car found in the water on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
Construction workers tell investigators they'd noticed something in the water for several weeks. Initially they thought it was a concrete slab, but today, a better look revealed that it was a vehicle.
The vehicle was discovered in the water behind O'Malia's near 56th and Emerson.
It took crews about an hour to get the vehicle, a Jeep Liberty, out of the water. It was unoccupied.
