Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) maintenance crews will temporarily close westbound I-70 at the north split tonight and divert traffic to the Exit 83A collector-distributor ramp for Michigan Street, Ohio Street and Fletcher Avenue. Westbound I-70 traffic will follow the parallel ramp system and re-enter mainline I-70 at the end of the ramp.

Crews will be repairing a damaged guardrail attenuator and will divert traffic for the safety of motorists and workers. The work is expected to begin at 9 p.m. and should be complete before 5 a.m. tomorrow. All exit ramps will remain open, but westbound I-70 traffic exiting to I-65 south should follow the collector-distributor ramp to the south split.
