House fires displace two Indianapolis families

Two families are out of a home tonight after a fire heavily damaged two residences on the Indianapolis southeast side.

The fire started in the garage of one of the homes on Capsella Lane near I-465. The family of four made it out safely, but the fire spread quickly and caused significant damage. The fire then spread to a neighboring home, displacing a family of five.

The home where the fire originated is considered a total loss.

No injuries were reported.
