House Ethics Committee to discuss Rep. Eric Turner

Rep. Eric Turner

Ethics Committee Chairman Greg Steuerwald has called a meeting on Rep. Eric Turner at the Statehouse next Wednesday.

The House Ethics Committee will convene Wednesday, April 23rd at the Indiana Statehouse at 2:00 pm. Committee Chairman Rep Greg Steuerwald (R-Avon) sent out the hearing announcement Thursday afternoon.

Turner, a Republican from Cicero, is alleged to have violated House ethics rules in fighting the nursing home ban in the last legislative session. Turner's son owns and operates a nursing home based in Carmel.

Rep. Turner is alleged to have lobbied against the bill that could have stalled work on projects developed by his son.

Turner says he is anxious for the opportunity and confident the committee will ultimately help clear his name.
