Darrell Hazell is trying to get Purdue's problems fixed.
The Boilermakers (1-6, 0-3 Big Ten) have lost five straight, rank near the bottom of the 123 Bowl Subdivision schools in scoring, have already made a quarterback change and their defense hasn't been able to stay off the field.
And No. 4 Ohio State is coming to town Saturday.
When asked about the tough season Tuesday, Hazell told reporters that he is trying to win now and trying to build for the future at the same time.
Hazell started 1-6 at Kent State before winning 15 of 19. The Boilermakers are hoping Hazell can pull off another turnaround.
