"Guardians of the Galaxy" star gives awesome surprise to young patients
Actor Chris Pratt took a special day for some young hospital patients to another galaxy Wednesday.
The star of "Guardians of the Galaxy" set up a special screening of the film for patients at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and their families and staff. During the movie, Pratt snuck out and got into costume as "Star-Lord," his character in the film.
After the movie, the "Parks and Recreation" star spent three hours with the children in costume, handing out toys from the movie. He also visited children who were unable to attend the screening due to their medical condition.
E! Online reported Pratt took hundreds of photographs and signed autographs for the children, who got to try on his costume.
"Thanks for making them smile!" the hospital staff tweeted after the visit.
