Neighborhood leaders are coming together to fight crime in Broad Ripple.

The Broad Ripple Village Association has set up a fundraising effort on the crowd sourcing website "Go Fund Me" to pay for new safety measures. The money will go toward better lighting on Broad Ripple Avenue and more security cameras. The group said community partners have offered matching funds.

The move came after last weekend's mass shooting that injured seven people.
