Girls injured in parasail accident show improvement
Two teenagers injured in a parasailing accident last week continue to show signs of improvement.
Sidney Good underwent a successful surgery at the Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. to repair a neck injury she sustained when a parasail she was riding crashed into a condominium and a parking garage in Panama City last Monday. Good also had her ventilator removed and is breathing on her own and softly talking with family and caregivers.
Doctors say another positive sign is Good's pupils are now showing a response, which means the swelling in her brain is subsiding.
Good's friend, Alexis Fairchild, who was also riding the parasail, was moved from intensive care to a normal hospital room. Fairchild's rehabilitation sessions have also been increased to twice a day to help her walking and returning normal movements, her family said in a release.
