Girl, 6, shoots self in arm on Indianapolis northeast side
Indianapolis Metro Police are at the scene where a six-year-old girl shot herself in the arm.
According to police, the girl was with her parents who were visiting a friend's apartment. She went into a bedroom where she found a gun. Police say the girl accidentally shot herself in the arm. The bullet exited through her hand.
The adults were in a front room when the shooting happened. Her father took her to a nearby fire station to seek treatment, and she was transported to Riley Hospital for Children.
