Giants, Bengals among Colts pre-season match-ups

The Colts will open the preseason with a home contest against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1 (August 8-12). The game between the teams will be the seventh preseason meeting all-time with the series tied 3-3. The Colts fell to the Bills in their last preseason meeting in 2010 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto by a score of 34-21.

Indianapolis will then travel to New York in Week 2 (August 18) for a nationally televised Sunday night contest on FOX against the Giants. The meeting between the teams will be the first in the preseason since a 1984 matchup at the Hoosier Dome in which the Colts claimed a 26-20 victory. Overall, the Colts hold a 7-5 all-time preseason record against the Giants.

The Colts return home for their third preseason contest in Week 3 (August 22-25) to host the Cleveland Browns. The teams will meet in the preseason for the first time since 1994 when the Colts defeated the Browns, 24-7, at the RCA Dome. The Colts hold a 5-2 advantage in the all-time preseason series history.

Indianapolis will conclude its preseason slate on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals (August 29-30). The teams have met every year in the preseason, traditionally in the finale, dating back to 2001. Last season, the Colts beat the Bengals, 20-16, at Lucas Oil Stadium. Overall, the Bengals are 13-8 against the Colts in the preseason.
