Funeral arrangements set for IMPD officer

Indianapolis - The funeral arrangements for IMPD Officer David Moore have been set.

Public visitation will be at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 700 W 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208 on Monday, January 31st, 2011 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm.

Officer Moore's funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 1st, 2011 at Conseco Fieldhouse located at 125 S. Pennsylvania St. Indianapolis, IN 46204. His funeral will start at 10:00am. The funeral is open to the public.

Following the funeral, the procession will leave downtown, travel past IMPD North District Roll Call before returning to Crown Hill Cemetery for interment in the Heroes of Public Safety section.

From Conseco Fieldhouse, the procession will travel north on Delaware to Fall Creek Blvd., then:

East on Fall Creek to 30th St.

East on 30th to Rural/Washington Park

In Washington Park, the procession will pass IMPD North District Roll Call, then exit the park south on Dearborn back to 30th

East on 30th to Sherman

North on Sherman to 38th

West on 38th to Capitol

South on Capitol to the 34th Street entrance to Crown Hill Cemetery

Gov. Mitch Daniels has directed that flags in Marion County be lowered to half-staff on Tuesday, February 1 in honor of Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Officer David Moore.

David Moore was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 15, 1981, the son of Spencer L. and Jo Ann Moore. David is survived by his parents as well as a sister, Carol Lyn Bongfeldt.
