Frigid Friday and the weekend snow chances
It will be another very cold night across central Indiana, with temperatures 0 to -5 by early Friday morning. Wind chills will near -15. Skies will be mostly clear overnight. This will mean some sun on Friday, but it stays cold. A few clouds enter the picture Friday afternoon, with highs in the range of 15-20 degrees.
Clouds will thicken Friday night, as we track another weather system moving into central Indiana. Light snow is in the forecast for this weekend. It is forecast to start falling Saturday morning and last through Sunday morning. Lingering flurries are in the Sunday forecast. A couple of inches of snow are possible. Highs will be in the 20s this weekend.
Looking ahead, our weather pattern stays cold and a bit snowy over the next 7 days. The average high is near 38, but we stay much colder through next week. There is another chance for snow next week too. The early timing is for Wednesday and Thursday.
