Four injured in crash with school bus on Keystone Ave.
Four people were injured when their Chevy HHR collided with a Washington Township School bus at the intersection of 65th and Keystone Monday morning.
The crash happened just before 6:44 a.m. No students were on the bus.
Witnesses told investigators the bus, which was not carrying any children at the time, was heading southbound on Keystone when it turned at 65th in front of a gray Chevy HHR, leading to the crash.
Three 17-year-old boys were cut out of the Chevy and transported to the hospital in serious condition. They are students at North Central High School. The driver was a 28-year-old woman. She was transported to the hospital in good condition.
Two other cars were involved in the crash, but no one was hurt. One of those drivers was a critical care nurse. The bus driver was not injured.
The bus veered of the road and struck a utility pole on the northeast corner of the intersection. A second car was resting against the bus. A third car was slightly damaged.
Northbound Keystone was closed, along with both directions of 65th. The scene is now clear.
