Four arrested in connection with quadruple murder
Indianapolis Metro Police say they've arrested four people in connection with the shooting deaths of four victims in a south side home last week.
The suspects have been identified as Kenneth Rackemann, 24, Samantha Bradley, 20, Valencia Williams, 21, and Anthony Larussa, 26. Police are not releasing their booking photos yet.
Hayley Navarra, 21, Kristy Mae Sanchez, 22, Jacob Rodemich, 43, and Walter Burnell, 47, all of Indianapolis, were found shot to death inside a home in the 3400 block of South Parker Ave. last Thursday evening.
IMPD Chief Rick Hite announced the arrests Monday afternoon.
"The fact that we knew who we were looking for in terms of the conduct of the individuals involved, we knew how to at least begin to connect the dots," Hite said.
IMPD says the victims and suspects knew each other, and that the suspects went to the house to rob the victims of drugs and money from the sale of illegal narcotics. During the robbery, the victims were killed.
Hite says the suspects were involved in the drug trade with the victims, but the group had recently broken up.
"Whenever a group of people come together for ill-gotten gain, it's usually not an amicable agreement when they break up. There were some challenges within the group and for that reason, people die," Hite said.
Detectives urge anyone with information about this incident to call IMPD at 317-327-3475. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers of Indiana at 317-262-TIPS (8477). Callers may also text "INDYCS" plus tip information to 274627 (CRIMES).
