Fog makes roads treacherous
Overnight fog rolled into western and central Indiana, creating slick roads and hazardous driving conditions. The conditions may be responsible for several accidents, including an injury accident with entrapment on Edgewood and Madison on the south side.
Police say a car traveling southbound on Madison Avenue disregarded a red light and was struck by a pick-up truck traveling westbound on Edgewood. The heavy fog in the area could have been the reason the driver did not see the red light.
Two people in the car were trapped and had to be extricated. They were transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The two occupants of the pick-up are Perry Township students and were not injured in the accident.
Several dozen schools elected to go on two-hour delays. Click here for the updated list.
The fog is expected to lift once the sun comes up and burns off the fog.
