Fishers Police seek suspect in home invasion-burglary
Fishers Police are investigating a robbery and home invasion that occurred Thursday night in a neighborhood near 126th Street and Olio Road.
Police were called to the 13100 block of Cresswell Place shortly before 11:00 pm after being alerted by an alarm company. Officers were unable to locate the suspect despite an extensive search using K-9 units.
The homeowner told police she was alone and asleep in her master bedroom when a man approached her and demanded she give him money. The man pushed her into the master bathroom and shut the door.
When the homeowner was certain the man was no longer inside her home, she activated her alarm system. She then locked herself in her bedroom until police arrived and cleared the interior of the home.
During the initial investigation, the homeowner discovered several pieces of jewelry were missing along with her laptop computer.
The victim described the suspect as 5'9 to 5'10 with a thin build. The suspect wore dark pants, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a dark mask or scarf over his face. He got in through the basement window.
Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact Detective Sgt. David Flynn at 317-595-3300.
