Fishers Police search for robbery suspect

Fishers Police are asking for your help in trying to locate a man wanted in connection with an early morning robbery of a local gas station.

Saturday morning at approximately 6 a.m. Hamilton County got a 911 call from an employee of the Shell Gas Station, located at 9510 E 126th Street. The caller reported the gas station had been robbed and the suspect fled on foot.

After Fishers Police officers arrived, they set up a perimeter in the area to try to find the suspect. A police K-9 was also used in the search.  After an extensive search officers were unable to locate the suspect.

According to the employee, a heavy set black male entered the store, implied he had a gun, and demanded cash. The employee complied and was not injured.

Suspect's Description:

- Black male

- Approximately 20-30 years old

- Approximately 5'10" – 6'1" tall weighing approximately 300 pounds

- Wearing a black coat with red sleeves, a red ball cap, and a dark colored pants
