Fishers police find 33 pounds of marijuana in home
Fishers police located more than 30 pounds of marijuana in a home Thursday.
Officers investigating the report of a vehicle stolen from Carmel found the car in a driveway on Igneous Drive, near 136th Street and Marilyn Road. The officers knocked on the door of the home and spoke with Terry Galloway, who said she was renting the car and was behind on the payments.
During their discussion with Galloway, officers smelled "a strong odor of burnt marijuana" coming from inside the residence. After obtaining a search warrant, officers entered the home with a police K-9 and found several five-gallon buckets containing marijuana.
In all, 33 pounds of marijuana was found in buckets in various locations throughout the home, including children's bedrooms. Officers also found several firearms, including a submachine gun.
Galloway and a man at the home, Michael Dudley, were taken into custody at the scene.
