Firefighter suffers minor burn in house fire

An Indianapolis firefighter suffered minor injuries in a west side fire late Friday night.

The fire at 1309 N. Warman Avenue was reported just after 11 p.m.

Flames were coming through the front of the one story house when the Indianapolis Fire Department arrived on the scene.

It took crews about 15 minutes to get the fire under control.

No one was home at the time of incident.

Officials estimate the damage at about $45,000.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

One firefighter was transported to IU Methodist to be checked out for a small burn.
