FBI director names new top agent for Indiana
An FBI agent with extensive experience investigating terrorism has been named the special agent in charge of the bureau's Indianapolis Division.
FBI Director James Comey named W. Jay Abbott this week to lead the division that oversees operations throughout Indiana.
Abbott most recently served as the acting special agent in charge of the Seattle Division. Before that, he held top positions at Criminal Justice Information Services Division, where he worked to enhance the FBI's ability to collect biometrics globally and share them with U.S. intelligence agencies.
Abbott's career began in 1987 at the Washington Field Office, where he worked a variety of foreign counterintelligence and international terrorism matters.
