Father pleads not guilty in baby's starvation death
The father of a malnourished infant pleaded not guilty to murder charges Tuesday.
Gregory Robey has been charged with murder related to the death of three-month-old Phillip Robey. The infant's mother, Bambi Glazebrook, is also facing murder charges.
Investigators say the couple starved their baby to death. Both remain in jail.
Police responding to a 911 call at the couple's disheveled apartment found the malnourished baby dead in the drawer of an entertainment center. Court documents say Glazebrook rebuffed friends' pleas to seek medical help for the boy.
A neighbor told Eyewitness News that she had tried several times to get Child Protective Services involved in the case, but no one ever answered the door when social workers arrived.
A detective on the case described the baby's condition as "skin and bones." Police say the family's home was filthy and unfit for human habitation.
