Family seeks military help to locate missing pilot
The family of a Warsaw man who disappeared while flying to Mali as part of missionary work is appealing to Congress and military leaders to help search for him.
WSBT-TV reports Jerry Krause lost communication April 7 while flying from South Africa to Mali. They've launched a Facebook page titled "Find Jerry" in hopes of stirring national interest in his plight.
Friend Beth White says only the military has the equipment needed to detect the beacon from a plane in deep water. She says the signal only lasts 30 days, so time is of the essence.
Friends say no plane wreckage has been found.
