East side residents claim low wells from park construction
Residents of east Indianapolis say construction around a new Indianapolis park is causing their water wells to run dry.
The complaints are coming from residents near the new Indianapolis World Sports Park near Post and Prospect, which will eventually host cricket matches.
The city's Department of Public Works confirmed that some homes in the area have experience low well levels.
A city spokesperson says initial tests did not reveal any connection to the new construction, but the DNR will test the park and about a dozen residential wells over the next day or so to determine what is causing the issues before making any recommendations to fix the problem.
