Drum Corps International full day of music downtown

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) - The Drum Corps International World Championships don’t start until later this evening, but there’s full day of music and fun on tap downtown. The Soundsport International Music and Food Festival kicks things off at 11 am at the Pan American Plaza and Pavilion.

There will be DrumLine Battles, special performances and food trucks lining Illinois Street for the event. More than 30 bands will perform from all over the world, starting with a group of 500 middle school students from around Indiana. The event runs from 11 am – 3 pm and is free and open to the public.

There are still tickets available for the DCI World Championship competition at Lucas Oil Stadium tonight.
