Downtown Indianapolis farmers' market to offer Saturday hours
This summer, you'll be able to shop at the Farmers' Market in downtown Indianapolis on the weekend.
Last year, the market was only open on Wednesdays. This year, you can buy fresh produce on Saturdays as well.
The Farmer's Market will be open from 9:30 to 12:30 from June through August.
Organizers say people have been asking about adding Saturday hours for several years.
"It's definitely in response to demand. It's going to be on Market Street like the typical farmers' market but it's going to be a condensed version, so around 25-30 vendors, about half the size, but only Indiana-based agricultural products," said Chelsea Marburger, City Market.
The Wednesday Farmers' Market starts on May 7th. You can start shopping on Saturdays in June.
