Gov. Mike Pence announced new heads for Indiana's Family and Social Services Administration and the State Department of Agriculture.

Debra F. Minott will serve as Secretary of the Family and Social Services Administration.

Minott most recently worked as Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Hill-Rom, a medical device manufacturer in Batesville. She also has experience working as Human Resources Director at CarDon & Associates, Inc., Indiana State Personnel Director, Chief Governance Officer and Corporate Secretary of Guidant Corporation, Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Essex International Inc., and Senior Counsel at Eli Lilly and Company. Minott earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Michigan.

Gina Sheets was named Director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture (ISDA).

Sheets previously was Director of Economic Development and International Trade at the ISDA.

Before joining state government in 2009, Sheets  was Economic Development Director and CEO of the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, Director of the Frankfort Urban Enterprise Association and Director of the Clinton County Economic Advancement Foundation.

Sheets and her husband Travis own a farm in Clinton County where they raise pasture poultry, free range hens, pasture beef, rainbow trout and a variety of produce. Sheets graduated from Stanislaus State University (CA) and the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute.

The child services and social services agencies both drew intense scrutiny and frequent criticism during the tenure of former Gov. Mitch Daniels.
