The new U.S. citizens who will be sworn in on Independence Day at Thomas Jefferson's home will be welcomed by Dave Matthews.

The Daily Progress of Charlottesville, Virginia, reports Matthews will address the ceremony at Monticello on Thursday and the event has sold out.

Officials with the Thomas Jefferson Foundation say they will live-stream the ceremony for the first time at www.monticello.org.

Matthews himself became a naturalized citizen in 1980. He was born in South Africa.
