Dangerously cold night and the next chance for snow
It will be another frigid night across central Indiana. With clear skies, temperatures will fall fast. Low temperatures are forecast in the range of -3 in Bloomington to -13 in Lafayette. We are forecasting -7 in Indianapolis on Tuesday morning. Wind chills will be even lower and near -20.
More sunshine is in the Tuesday forecast, but it stays cold with highs in the teens. The average high is nearing 40 degrees. We will not get above average over the next 7 days, but the overall pattern won't be as cold toward the end of the week. Highs reach the upper 20s and lower 30s starting Thursday.
There is another chance for snow on Friday and again Saturday night. We will keep you updated on the timing. Right now these look to be rather weak weather systems with limited moisture.
