Six people were displaced after an electrical fire at an apartment complex on the city's northwest side early Wednesday morning.

It happened at the Greystone Apartments at 3415 Ashley Lane, just east of 34th and Moller Road.

Nine Indianapolis Fire Department units responded to the fire and had it under control in 15 minutes.

Firefighters found the fire in the attic and were able to keep it from extending to other units in the building. Only one apartment was affected.

The fire caused about $30,000 in damage. There were no working smoke detectors in the apartment.

No injuries were reported.
