Craigslist robber identified, arrested by police
A robbery suspect captured in a photograph by his victim has now been captured by police.
Detectives say 20-year-old Bo Scisney of Indianapolis is the person in a photo taken by a man who says he was robbed at gunpoint during a sale the two men arranged on Craigslist. The victim says he was selling his Apple computer and cash to Scisney in exchange for a newer computer.
As Scisney approached the vehicle, the victim says he took his picture on his smartphone. Scisney got into the car and allegedly pulled out a gun, demanding the computer, cash and the victim's phone.
When the victim got a new phone, his photos downloaded from Apple's iCloud and he forwarded the picture of the robber to police.
"Detectives received several tips immediately following the media's coverage of this story, and would like to thank the community and the media for their assistance with apprehension of this dangerous suspect," IMPD Ofc. Kendale Adams wrote in a release.
Scisney is currently being held at the Marion County Jail on an unrelated robbery charge. Police are expected to seek additional robbery charges from the prosecutor's office in the Craigslist robbery.
