Court documents: IMPD officer admitted to drinking and driving
Court documents released Wednesday show shed more light on what led to an IMPD officer's arrest on drunk driving charges.
Allen Johnson reportedly drove over a roundabout and crashed into a telephone pole in Fishers early Friday morning. Officers arrested him near Fall Creek and Brooks School Roads.
Fishers police said Johnson admitted to drinking three to four mixed drinks before getting behind the wheel, he failed a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer test showed a blood alcohol content level of 0.13.
It was Johnson's second drunk driving arrest in as many years.
IMPD suspended Johnson without pay, pending the outcome of an internal investigation. He is currently out on bail.
