Couple found in burning Jeffersonville home were shot
A southeastern Indiana coroner says a man and a woman whose bodies were pulled from a house fire in Jeffersonville died from gunshot wounds.
Clark County Coroner Terry Conway said Sunday that 26-year-old Morgan Julius and 27-year-old Courtney Grimm were found in a bathroom in the house Saturday. He declined further comment, referring questions to police. A message seeking comment was left Sunday by The Associated Press for Jeffersonville Detective Todd Hollis.
Hollis had previously said that firefighters had pulled the pair from a house fire about 2 p.m. Saturday.
Conway says the police investigation is continuing.
