Columbus woman arrested for stealing video games, leading police on chase

COLUMBUS, Ind. (WTHR) - Police arrested a Columbus woman Wednesday for theft of video games and leading officers on chase.

Columbus Police say early Wednesday afternoon, Stevie Hammond Badger, 31, stole approximately $1600 of video games from Best Buy on North National Road.

Officers arrived to see her leave the parking lot with the videos, and she ignored requests to stop.

Police say Badger drove through two yards while trying to get away, and they stopped their pursuit once they identified her.

Police arrested her later at her home and she's now in the Bartholomew County Jail facing three charges:

  • Resisting Law Enforcement in a Vehicle
  • Theft with a Previous Conviction
  • Driving while Suspended with Prior Conviction
