Colts Coach Chuck Pagano confirms that running back Vick Ballard is out for the season after a knee injury during practice.

Pagano says it was a non-contact injury that resulted in an ACL tear.

The loss of Ballard is big blow to the Colts backfield.

There are currently two healthy running backs on the roster, Ahmad Bradshaw and Donald Brown.

Bradshaw, who the Colts picked up through free agency, is coming off a foot injury.  He carried the ball 7 times for 26 yards Sunday against the Raiders.

Look for the veteran Brown to pick up more carries this week against Miami.

The Colts could elevate 7th round draft pick Kerwynn Williams from the practice squad.
