Colts sign veteran wide receiver Deion Branch
The Indianapolis Colts signed veteran wide receiver Deion Branch to face his former team in the AFC playoffs.
Branch has played in 140 games over 11 seasons with the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks. The Colts face the Patriots Saturday night in the AFC Divisional Playoffs.
Branch won two Super Bowl titles with New England, and was named MVP of Super Bowl XXXIX for his 11-reception performance. He has caught 64 passes for 948 yards and four touchdowns in 17 career playoff games.
The Colts also elevated wide receiver Josh Lenz from the practice squad to the active roster. Lenz joined the Colts practice squad on November 11, 2013.
The team also released defensive tackle Christian Tupou from the practice squad and placed defensive end Fili Moala and cornerback Greg Toler on injured reserve.
