Colts see jump in renewal of season tickets
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indianapolis Colts fans are back on board after an unexpected season.
The Indianapolis Star reports (http://indy.st/14cyUuh ) nearly 95 percent of 2012 season-ticket holders have renewed their orders. That rate is similar to those of the Peyton Manning era.
The Colts had seen season ticket renewals drop to 87 percent after Manning was released and many veterans were purged from the roster.
Chief operating officer Pete Ward says it's heartening to see the renewed interest.
The Colts went 2-14 in 2011 while Manning was out with neck surgery. They posted an 11-5 record and earned a wild-card playoff spot in 2012 under rookie quarterback Andrew Luck.
