The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to terms with free agent running back Deji Karim and waived running back Davin Meggett.

Karim, 5-8, 209 pounds, has appeared in 33 games over his four-year NFL career, recording 110 rushes for 341 yards and 18 receptions for 129 yards. He also has returned 91 kickoffs for 2,332 yards (25.6 avg.) and one touchdown. Over the past four seasons (2010-13), his kickoff return yardage ranks fourth in the AFC and 11th in the NFL. In 2013, Karim played in seven games for the Houston Texans and rushed 12 times for 51 yards (4.3 avg.), while posting five kickoff returns for 104 yards. In 2012, he played in three games for the Colts, where he returned nine kickoffs for 328 yards (36.4 avg.), including a career-long 101-yard return for a touchdown in the season finale against Houston. Karim spent the first two years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2010-11) after he was selected by the team in the sixth round (180th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft out of Southern Illinois University.

Meggett was signed by the Colts as a free agent on July 27, 2014. He was first signed to the team's practice squad on December 11, 2012 and was waived on August 25, 2013. Meggett was originally signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Maryland on May 14, 2012.
