Colts fans show support for ChuckStrong Blood Drive
Colts fans showed strong support for the five-day ChuckStrong Blood Drive honoring Colts Coach Chuck Pagano's battle against leukemia. A total of 903 Colts fans donated blood at Indiana Blood Centers statewide.
Saturday was the last day to make a donation.
As part of Coach Pagano's treatment, plasma from volunteer donors may be transfused.
Cancer patients may also receive red blood cells and platelets to boost their cell counts, and restore strength after a chemotherapy treatment.
From October 9-13, Indiana Blood Center provided cards for donors to write a personal message to Pagano. "In Honor of Coach Pagano" stickers were also available to wear and share on Facebook and Twitter using a special hashtag: #ChuckStrong.
In addition, Colts' ChuckStrong posters were available to those who took part.
