Colts cheerleader auditions underway
Dozens of local women hope to score a permanent spot on the sidelines cheering on the Indianapolis Colts.
Auditions began Sunday for the Colts cheerleaders. It was an open call to women living in the Indianapolis area who want to be part of the squad for the upcoming season.
The ladies who tried out Sunday had a photo shoot and then learned choreography similar to what's done on the field on game days.
"There are a lot of women who really want to be a part of the squad - some that have been a part of it and know how special it is and then some who've had this dream since they were a little girl, so the atmosphere is a little competitive today," said Cheerleader Manager Kelly Tilley.
At the end of the day, 50 women advanced to the next round. They'll go through workshops for the next week and a half before the final 26 are chosen for the squad.
