INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) -- Downtown Indy, Inc. and IBEW #481 are now making it easier to become the next talent featured at the 55th annual Circle of Lights celebration.

Entertainers, musicians, singers, dancers and choirs are encouraged to audition via video submission between Sept. 1 - Sept. 18. On-site auditions will no longer be conducted.

Potential participants can send a two-minute, holiday-themed video through an online forum.

If someone is interested in auditioning, but unable to record a video on their own, there will be a video-recording day downtown. Go to the IndyStar Community Room near Meridian and Georgia Streets Sept. 13 between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Acts will have their auditions recorded, and videos will be submitted on-site.

Twenty finalists will be chosen for public voting Sept. 22 through Oct. 1. The winner will earn a spot in an invitation-only audition, performing alongside eight to 10 others for live judges.

WTHR will broadcast the audition special, "Circle of Lights: Indiana's Got Talent," on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. We'll take viewers behind the scenes as participants vie for a spot in the main Circle of Lights broadcast, which WTHR will air Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.
