Children safe after SWAT negotiations with non-custodial father
Police say two children are safe and unharmed after they were held at a home by a non-custodial parent.
Nathaniel Bowling, 31, was arrested after stating he was taking five-year-old Jaxson Willey and his three-year-old sister, Kylynne Bowling to Florida. Nathaniel Bowling held the children in a home on Lyons Street on the southwest side of Indianapolis.
Officers with IMPD's Crisis Negotiation Team talked to Bowling for several hours, finally getting him to emerge from the home and surrender to members of the SWAT team.
Bowling was arrested on preliminary charges of criminal confinement and violation of a custody order, a misdemeanor.
