Charges filed against bus driver who hit, killed marathoner

 Prosecutors have filed charges against a bus driver who struck and killed a woman who was running in the Geist Marathon in May.

David McCollum has been charged with failure to stop after an accident resulting in death, a felony.

Erin Harris of Fishers was hit by a school bus in a crosswalk near 116th and Olio Road May 17. The bus was taking runners to the Geist Half Marathon start line at the time. Harris was critically injured. She died at the hospital May 23.

The 34-year-old was a wife and mother of two, according to a donation page set up to support her family.
